The #FakeNews no one talks about
With all the talk about #FakeNews recently, there's one piece of #FakeNews that's been accepted as truth for the last 24 years, because the Israeli government was foolish enough to accept it. I saw this on Facebook:
Judith Bergman on "fake news"...
"In all the talk about 'fake news'
Israel is missing an opportunity by not calling out the fakest of the
fake news, namely the professed existence of a Palestinian Arab people.
Palestinian Arab officials themselves have admitted that the professed
Palestinian identity is fake, an invention for the political and
tactical purpose of defeating Israel.
In a 1977 interview with Dutch newspaper Trouw, PLO executive committee member Zahir Muhsein said:
“The Palestinian people does not exist. The creation of a Palestinian
state is only a means for continuing our struggle against the state of
Israel for our Arab unity. In reality today there is no difference
between Jordanians, Palestinians, Syrians and Lebanese. Only for
political and tactical reasons do we speak today about the existence of a
Palestinian people, since Arab national interests demand that we posit
the existence of a distinct ‘Palestinian people’ to oppose Zionism".
Hamas Minister of the Interior and of National Security Fathi Hammad
made it clear that nothing has changed since 1977. This is what Hammad
said when he was interviewed on Al-Hekma TV in March 2012: “Brothers,
half of the Palestinians are Egyptians and the other half are Saudis.
Who are the Palestinians? ... We are Egyptians…”
Why is the world -
and parts of the Israeli establishment - obsessed with establishing a
Palestinian Arab state, funnelling billions of taxpayer dollars into
that enterprise, if the Palestinian Arabs themselves readily admit that
their professed identity is fake? To begin with, the 'Palestine
industry' has become a flourishing business that would put many people
out of business if peace were to actually break out."
The reason the Israeli establishment accepted the existence of a 'Palestinian people' is that in 1993, Israel's Left saw the Messiah of 'Peace' and his name was 'Palestinian.' I've been railing about this stuff for
years.
But most of the Israeli establishment - including our Prime Minister - won't admit this. If they admitted it, they'd also have to admit that there's no 'two state solution' and admitting that would be admitting that everything they've done for the past 24 years has been misguided and wrong. So the #FakeNews continues to be treated as real.
Woe to those who cannot face the truth.

US designates Hamas Television founder a global terrorist
It's certainly taken long enough, but the United States has designated Fathi Hammad, the founder of Hamas' al-Aqsa Television station, as a
global terrorist.
The United States on Friday added a senior Hamas
official, the Islamist group's former interior minister Fathi Hammad, to
its "global terrorist" list.
Hamas, the Palestinian party controlling the Gaza Strip,
has already itself been proscribed by the United States as a "foreign
terrorist organization."
Under the new designation, U.S. citizens and companies
will be banned from doing business with Hammad and any property he holds
in areas under U.S. jurisdiction will be frozen.
According to the U.S. State Department, which issued the
designation, as interior minister Hammad used his position to
"coordinate terrorist cells."
The statement also said Hammad founded al-Aqsa TV, "with
programs designed to recruit children to become Hamas armed fighters
and suicide bombers upon reaching adulthood."
What took them so long?

Hamas Interior Minister Fathi Hamad on the origin of the 'Palestinians'
I think I've showed this video before, but even if I did, it's worth the reminder.
Here's Hamas Interior Minister Fathi Hamad talking about the origin of the 'Palestinians.'
Let's go to the videotape.
So who came from 'Palestine'?
Only the Jews.....Labels: Egypt, Fathi Hamad, Palestinian people, Saudi Arabia, Yemen
Video: Hamas minister calls for 'liberation' of cities within 1949 armistice lines
In this video from Gaza's 'police' graduation, Hamas interior minister Fathi Hamid calls for the 'liberation' of Haifa, Jaffa, and Akko - among others - which are located on the Israeli side of the 1949 armistice lines. To those who continue to delude themselves that territorial compromise with the 'Palestinians' - or a return to the indefensible 1949 armistice lines - will bring an end to the conflict, here is more proof that it will not.
Let's go to the videotape.

Al-Reuters reports US wants Goldstone Report to 'disappear,' then repeats 'hundreds of civilians' killed lie

Al-Reuters reports that US ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice says that her country wants the discredited
Goldstone Report to disappear.
"I'm not sure it can be amended," Rice told a congressional hearing. "What we want to see is for it to disappear and no longer be a subject of discussion and debate in the Human Rights Council or the General Assembly or beyond."
...
Rice told lawmakers the United States repudiated the Goldstone report as "deeply flawed" when it first emerged.
"We see no need ... for the Goldstone report to be considered and now that its principal author has said what he said, frankly, our view is reinforced that this should go away and that's what we'll work to do," she said.
But in the next paragraph, al-Reuters repeats Goldstone's second biggest lie (Goldstone's biggest lie was that the IDF intentionally targeted civilians).
About 1,400 Palestinians, including hundreds of civilians, and 13 Israelis were killed in the brief but devastating war from December 2008 to January 2009 that was launched with Israel's declared aim of ending cross-border rocket fire from Palestinian militants.
There were not 'hundreds of civilians' killed, according to Hamas' 'interior minister'
Fathi Hamad.
NGOs such as B’Tselem, Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), and Defence for Children International – Palestine Section (DCI-PS) each issued differing reports, alleging that between 70 – 85% of those killed were civilians.
In contrast to these NGO reports, the Israeli military stated that of 1166 Palestinian deaths, 709 “militants” were killed in combat; the Israeli evidence was largely ignored or derisively dismissed. Recently, though, the IDF figures were confirmed and the NGO accounts debunked by the most unlikely of sources – Hamas.
In a November 2010 interview given by Hamas Interior Minister Fathi Hamad to the Al-Hayat newspaper, Hamas acknowledged that 600-700 Hamas members were killed in the Gaza fighting – more than double the number of combatants published by the NGOs’ and Richard Goldstone’s unreliable version of events.
Has Reuters not seen the Hamad interview in the last four months? Or perhaps there's another agenda at work here.

A call for honesty from Judge Goldstone

In a November 2010 interview, Hamas Interior Minister Fathi Hamad acknowledged that the number of Hamas terrorists who were killed in Operation Cast Lead was
far closer to the 709 claimed by the IDF than to the "one in five casualties" claimed by the Goldstone Report. Maurice Ostroff wonders why the would-be-future-Secretary-General of the United Nations has yet to acknowledge that Israel was right, and that the
'Palestinians' and the European-financed NGO's on whom he relied were wrong.
It has been a considerable time since I last wrote an open letter to you, but I believe that you will not only be willing but anxious to clarify questions that have arisen as a result of the widely publicized statement by Hamas interior minister Fathi Hammad in his interview with Al-Hayat last November 1. The Minister quoted figures of combatant casualties in the Cast Lead Operation that according to Islamic News 'roughly match the 709 "terror operatives" that the military of Israel said it had killed during the fighting which included members of the Hamas-run police force'
Fathi Hammad's figures contradict the ratio of one in five of the persons killed being a combatant as reported by PCHR and Al Mezan that was accepted seriously by your Mission as stated in clause 361 of the Report. It is now obvious that your Mission was mistaken in accepting the reports of various NGO's while summarily rejecting the detailed counterclaims by the Government of Israel that has now been vindicated, namely, that at that stage Israel had recorded the names of 1,166 Palestinians killed, 709 of them identified as operatives of Hamas and various other terror organizations and that 295 uninvolved Palestinians were killed during the operation, 89 of them under the age of 16, 49 of them women and that in addition, there were 162 names of men that had not yet been attributed to any organization.
You have said in the past that the information the Mission received would not be admissible as evidence in a criminal court and I have difficulty in reconciling this with the statement in clause 361 of your report which states "The counterclaims published by the Government of Israel fall far short of international law standards". In the circumstances it is fair to ask whether the claims by the NGO's which the Mission accepted and which have since proved to be unreliable, met these law standards.
The realization that the mission was very mistaken in its belief that statistics from non-governmental sources are generally consistent, as stated in clause 361, should raise a red flag in evaluating other claims made by them, which should now be re-examined.
Read the whole thing. And don't hold your breath waiting for Goldstone to admit he was wrong. He's too pompous for that.
