Egypt is accusing the 'Palestinian'
Army of Islam of being behind a massive car bomb at a Coptic Church in Alexandria on New Year's Eve.
Interior Minister Habib al-Adly said "conclusive evidence" showed that the shadowy, Gaza-based Army of Islam was behind the planning and execution of the attack, which sparked three days of Christian rioting in Cairo and several other cities. It was the deadliest attack against Christians in Egypt in more than a decade.
If the name sounds familiar, it should. The Army of Islam was behind the
kidnapping of IDF Corporal Gilad Shalit, although they later broke with Hamas, which continues to hold Shalit. The Army of Islam also served as
Hamas' cover for the '
kidnapping' of BBC

IAF liquidates two al-Qaeda terrorists
In Gaza City on Wednesday, the IAF liquidated two al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorists, brothers
Islam Yassin and Mohamed Yassin.
Islam Yassin, 35, from Jabalya in the northern Gaza Strip was killed in the strike along with his brother Muhammad, and four people were lightly wounded, a Palestinian source in Gaza said.
Yassin was planning to kidnap Israelis vacationing in Sinai, the IDF Spokesman’s Office said in a statement.
According to the IDF, Yassin had “acted as the right-hand man and aide” to the head of the Army of Islam, Memtaz Dormush.
On November 11, the Counter-Terrorism Bureau released an urgent warning calling on all Israelis in Sinai to return to Israel immediately, due to intelligence of a kidnap plot.
Wednesday’s attack was the second in Gaza within a month in which a member of the global jihadi organization was targeted to thwart the Sinai plot.
These guys were also responsible for the kidnapping of BBC journalist Alan Johnston a few years ago. The world is a better place without them.

The IDF gets a big one
The IDF
liquidated a major al-Qaeda terrorist in Gaza on Wednesday.
During a joint IDF-ISA operation today, November 3rd 2010, a senior leader belonging to the terror organization “Army of Islam” was targeted. During the targeted operation, the senior leader, Shati-resident Muhammad Namnam (born 1985), was killed.
Muhammad Namnam was personally involved in directing several terror attacks against Israeli targets in recent years. More recently, Namnam was involved with directing a terror attack against American and Israeli targets in the Sinai Peninsula, in cooperation with Hamas elements in the Gaza Strip.
The “Army of Islam” is a Salifist terror organization that identifies with the cause of “Global Jihad” and the terror organization Al Qaeda. As part of its activities in the Gaza Strip, the “Army of Islam” terror organization has carried out several severe attacks against Israeli targets.
Sounds like 'good riddance' to me.
