Boo. Hoo. 'Palestinian' terrorist's grave defaced
In what the police are immediately assuming is a 'price tag' attack by right wing Israelis, the grave of Muslim preacher
Izz ad-Din al-Qassam, the inspiration for the Hamas terror brigade by the same name, was defaced in Haifa overnight Thursday night according to a report on Israel's Channel 10 news.
The Muslim "Al Qassam" cemetery in Haifa joins the list of targets nationwide, as Israeli authorities struggle to prevent suspected far-right assailants from defiling more non-Jewish property.
One of the graves was spray-painted with the words "Tag mehir (‘price tag’) Tzipi Livni," while another read "Thanks for Memorial Day" along with the name of US Secretary of State John Kerry.
Al-Qassam,
whose exploits during the Palestinian struggle for independence against
the British and the Zionists inspired generations of Palestinians, is
the namesake of the Hamas military wing. The name conjures up traumatic
experiences for Israelis
who for over the past decade have been living under the threat of
incessant Qassam rocket fire from Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, a 19-year old Afula woman was murdered on Thursday in Migdal HaEmek,
possibly by terrorists, as she talked on the phone with her cousin.
"We started to worry. At 2 p.m. we realized something happened," the father told Arutz Sheva,
recalling the events of how his daughter went missing after leaving for
a job interview. "We contacted the police and I gave a description (of
Shelly), and then they told us to come to the station, and I realized
something had happened."
Regarding the motivation behind his daughter's murder, he said "I
believe it was nationalistic, and still can't digest (her murder). She
was a very responsible girl."
"They shouldn't rest until they find her phone, maybe there are
fingerprints on it," added the bereaved father, noting that she had been
in the middle of a phone call with her cousin apparently at the time of
the murder.
While on the phone, Shelly said "there is someone scary here,
I'm being strangled!" Shelly appeared to be referring to a woman
[extrapolated from Hebrew grammar - ed.].
"There's no security in this country," said Shelly's father. "My
message to parents is not to send your children alone, we don't digest
the fact that in the state of Israel you go to your workplace and don't
come back. They just butchered my girl."
The funeral of Shelly Dadon will take place on Saturday after Shabbat, at 10:30 p.m. in Afula's cemetery.
The murderer apparently fled to a nearby Arab village. But the government seems to be much more interested in the 'price tags' than in Shelly Dadon.
Shelly's cousin Alon noted there has been a remarkable lack of condemnation of the attack from Israel's government.
"I want every MK to know what is going on here," he said. "If this
had been a 'price tag' graffiti incident, the whole State would have
been up in arms. But when a young girl is murdered on her way to a job
interview, they are all silent."
"We demand that they bring [the killer] to justice," he added.
By contrast, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and others were swift to condemn an
alleged act of "price tag" vandalism earlier this week, especially in
light of a damning report from the US State Department over the "Jewish
terrorism."
Netanyahu called the latest attack "outrageous," vowing, "we are using ISA (Shin Bet) resources for this purpose.”
Unfortunately, the Israeli government has applied terrorist rhetoric to 'price tag' attacks. It is grossly out of place.

We're to blame
Chaim Seligman writes that
we Israelis are (at least partly) responsible for the murder by a 'Palestinian' terrorist of 19-year old Eden Atias on a bus in Afula on Wednesday. And he's right (Hat Tip:
Mrs. Carl).
WE are responsible for all of the above.
Hopefully we are not directly responsible for funding the terrorist
organization etc. Rather, we are certainly responsible for empowering
them. The apologetic mentality of all too many Jews and westerners has
allowed these hatemongers to gain legitimacy. In being afraid of
becoming labeled as racists or hatemongers ourselves, we have only
allowed the infectious bacteria of hatred to thrive and metastasize.
The time has come to stop apologizing for
wrongs we have not committed. After releasing another 26 cold blooded
murderers on October 30th with the naive hopes of garnering at least a
miniscule improvement in Israel’s world status, UN Secretary General Ban
Ki Moon shot those hopes down with Israel’s very own rifle. In the same
breath he praised the release of the “poor prisoners” and vehemently
condemned Netanyahu’s empty promise to build 1,500 new units over the
imaginary Green Line. Israel was put in her place in the most global of
forums. It should not take us getting to the pitiful situation where we
are guilty of enabling and promoting future murders and terrorist
attacks while simultaneously lying to our own people about something as
simple as lowering the cost of rent while hopefully strengthening our
grip on our land, to realize what is happening.
Sounds a lot like some of what I wrote yesterday, doesn't it?

Eden Atias HY"D (May God Avenge his blood)
The IDF soldier who was attacked by a 'Palestinian' terrorist on a bus this morning was 19-year old Eden Atias HY"D (May God Avenge his blood) of Nazareth Illit. Atias
passed away this afternoon.
National Police Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said the soldier was
critically wounded at the scene and taken to the Valley Regional
Hospital in Afula, where he died shortly thereafter.
Rosenfeld
added that the attack is being treated as ideologically-motivated, as
the man told investigators that he stabbed the soldiers because he has
relatives in prison in Israel.
Magen David Adom paramedics said
that at 8:38 am they received a call that a young man had been stabbed
inside a bus at the Afula bus station. When they arrived they said they
found the victim, “an 18-year-old youth with stab wounds across his
body” in critical condition.

Atias was to be laid to rest on Wednesday at 11 pm in the military cemetery in Upper Nazareth, the IDF spokesperson said.
The
Israel Prison Service stated after the killing that two of [the terrorist's] cousins
are currently in prison in Israel. One of them, Muhammed Juwadra, is
serving three life sentences for the murder of Israelis Cartiso Radikov
and Amos Mantiu, a Bezeq employee shot dead in the village of Baka
al-Gharbiya in 2003 during the Second Intifada.
The other cousin is serving a 12-year-sentence for attempted murder.

I’m sitting in my office in the middle of Jerusalem…and someone’s world has just ended. Somewhere in Israel, a few hours ago, there was a knock and without thinking, the woman walked to the door and opened it. Perhaps it was a man, even a sister or a brother. It doesn’t really matter.
No words really need to be said…
There would have been at least two soldiers there. Perhaps the soldiers said something; often they don’t have to. The soldiers will stay until the others gather, try to help make arrangements that the family had never, not even once, believed they’d have to make. Where do you want your son buried? And with the question, the mother’s heart will scream again. Nowhere, don’t you understand? Nowhere. Not now, not ever.
And as the family buries their son, the latest victim of senseless violence and hatred bred into a 16-year-old’s bones and blood, the two soldiers will disappear. The family will never see them again. Forever, they will be remembered as the ones who brought the end of the world, devastation as they had never imagined.
This time, perhaps it was different because the 18-year-old Israeli who was murdered by the 16-year-old Arab survived the initial attack and was rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Perhaps this time, there was no knock…just a frantic and urgent call to get themselves to the hospital as fast as they can.

Meanwhile, several Likud MK's (which the newly Leftist JPost insists on calling 'hardliners' even though they make up most of the party) are calling to
suspend the 'peace talks' as a result of this morning's attack.
"The talks are deluding both the Israeli public and the Arabs,"
Deputy Defense Minister Danny Danon said. "We must stop this predictable
crash course immediately."
Danon also called to stop the release of Palestinian prisoners.
Deputy Transportation Minister Tzipi Hotovely said "the Palestinian
Authority's well-oiled incitement system continues to claim victims."
"[PA
President] Mahmoud Abbas has a tactic of indirectly harming Israel.
Jews aren't killed by PA officials but by the 'Palestinian street,'
which is fed each day by anti-Israel propaganda. We cannot continue
talking peace while the PA is talking terror," Hotovely added.
But the flaming Leftist to whom the Prime Minister has outsourced the 'peace talks' has a different opinion.
Meanwhile, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni sent her condolences to the
soldier's family and wrote on Facebook that now is not the time for
political arguments.
However, she added that "violence will not
bring diplomatic achievements. We will fight terror and extremism
without compromise."
Really? When are we starting? When are we going to start putting terrorists to death rather than freeing them as concessions to induce the 'Palestinians' to come to the table so that we can make more concessions to them? When will a 'Palestinian' know the fear of death when he attacks a sleeping Israeli soldier. When will we stop talking civilly to those who seek to murder us?
Sometimes we are victims of our own humanity. Had the roles this morning been reversed, had an Israeli stabbed a sleeping 'Palestinian' on an Arab bus, we all know
what would have happened to that Israeli. When the 'Palestinians' start to fear that something more than a few years in a
luxury Israeli jail will be their fate if they murder Jews, perhaps the number of terror attacks will decline.

And again: 'Palestinian' terrorist takes Kerry up on third intifada call, stabs and critically wounds IDF soldier
Around 9:00 this morning, a 'Palestinian' terrorist decided to take up US Secretary of State John FN Kerry on his
call for a third intifada. The terrorist
stabbed and critically wounded an IDF soldier at the central bus station in Afula, a town in the Galilee that's completely within the 'green line.'
The attack occurred on a bus that was traveling from Nazareth to Afula as it was entering the Afula central bus station.
Passengers
on the bus were able to subdue the attacker and deliver him into the
custody of security personnel at the bus station.
Police stated that the suspect is a 16-year-old Palestinian from the West Bank city of
Jenin that had been illegally residing in Israel. He was being interrogated by security authorities.
According
to police, the suspect confessed to police under questioning, saying
that he carried out the attack to avenge several of his relatives who
are serving time in Israeli prisons.
The victim was set to undergo surgery at the Emek Medical Center.
Another notch for Khmer Rouge Kerry's belt.... We ought to declare him persona non grata and tell him to stay home. Of course, the spineless Netanyahu would never do anything like that.

Feiglin: 'Before we worry about Judea and Samaria, worry whether we can hold onto Lod'
In a speech on Tuesday night, Likud Knesset candidate Moshe Feiglin warned that
Israel does not have control over areas that are already officially under its jurisdiction, let alone areas that are beyond the 1949 armistice lines.
Speaking Tuesday night, Likud Knesset candidate Moshe Feiglin said
that before the state imposes Israeli law on Judea and Samaria, it
should make sure that it is in control of Afula and Lod. At this time,
Feiglin said, there is a great doubt in his mind on whether that is the
case.
On Tuesday, Feiglin said, he visited a
70-year-old woman in Lod who has been “suffering day and night from
persecution by local Arabs. I was shocked by the stories she told more
than by almost anything else I have ever heard.” The torture that the
woman faced, he said, was similar to incidents that occurred throughout
the country.
“Let us ensure that we have full
sovereignty within the 1948 armistice lines” before attempting to extend
sovereignty to the areas liberated in the 1967 Six Day War, Feiglin
said, recounting his own experience from Tuesday morning's visit to the
Temple Mount, where he was detained and ejected for bowing in
prayer during a visit to the Temple Mount. Police said that they were
planning to charge Feiglin for his refusal to obey the orders of police
to stop bowing, a report on Channel Ten said Tuesday night.
“Go to the Temple Mount and you will see
Israeli police quaking in their boots from fear of the Waqf. We do not
even have sovereignty over many parts of Jerusalem,” Feiglin said.
I think Feiglin needs to make that point over and over again to the man at the top of his party's Knesset slate. Binyamin Netanyahu seems to be looking for a way to partner with the Left in the next Knesset.

Railroad to connect Haifa to Jordan
The government was scheduled to publish its first tender today for a rail connection that will eventually reach across the country from
Haifa to the Jordanian border.
A year after the Israel National Roads Company Ltd. was given the task of handling construction of the new Jezreel Valley railway line, as part of the Netivei Israel plan, the first tender for the project will be published today. The tender is for the construction of a 6.5-kilometer stretch of the line between Kfar Baruch near Migdal Ha'Emek, and Nahal Adashim near Afula.
This is the first railway tender that the National Roads Company is responsible for. The value of the tender is lower than the subsequent tenders for the Jezreel Valley railway, which are due to be published later this year. However, sources inform ''Globes'' that Danya Cebus Ltd. (TASE: DNYA), Shikun u'Binui Solel Boneh Building and Infrastructure Ltd., and Shafir Civil and Marine Engineering Ltd. plan to bid in the tender, and that other large contractors are also considering participation.
The estimated cost of the Jezreel Valley railway is NIS 4 billion (out of the NIS 27.5 billion budget allotted for the Netivei Israel plan last year). The railway is scheduled to be completed in 2016. The new line will parallel the historic railway line.
The Jezreel Valley railway will run 60 kilometers from Haifa to the Sheikh Hussein Bridge over the Jordan River in the Beit She'an Valley. The railway is due to continue to Irbid in Jordan, where it will link with the Jordanian railway system. Incoming Israel Ports Development & Assets Company Ltd. chairman Meir Dagan, the former head of the Mossad, is responsible for cooperation with the Jordanian government.
