“Roof knocking” wasn’t the first warning before attack. Israel noticed the building dwellers several times of the approaching attack by Phone, SMS, WhatsApps, Pamphlets etc., through the last 10 hours prior to attack. “Roof knocking” is only the last effort to warn people on and near the target and it’s a part of the combatant mission. 5 minutes is the shortest notice, but most “roof knocking” actions took place 10 or 15 minutes before attacking. It’s the time to remind all that sending precautions to enemy on battle is only Israeli invention. The US and other NATO armies, in same cases, just “walking without talking” and crash the enemy.
Amnesty doesn't tell that the target was of Hamas rocket unit head Ayman Siam, and they only mentions his 70 years old father Mohammed Abdul Hadi Siyam.
