Rice-A-Phony
Ya'alon cancelled the purchase of all the V-22 Osprey aircraft from the US/Boeing this week. Ostensibly the reasons were some new agreement to buy F-35 fighters, which no one really believes will ever see the light of day and these agreements are purely for political purposes. But the order for 6 aircraft was supposed to be a signpost for Obama showing that the frightfully expense and trouble prone V-22 was ripe for export sales. It's not, it's another albatross (just like the F-35). I think what we're seeing is the first unraveling of the Israeli-US defense 'partnership'.
Nevertheless, Netanyahu really is chickensh*t. No apologies from me.
