It's come to this: Israel may need to be forced to destroy Hamas

Am I the only one who finds it incredible that Israel needs to be forced to destroy the Hamas terror organization?
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu won't sit down again for peace talks with the Palestinians if Abbas doesn't end his governing alliance with Hamas.
It's not political brinksmanship by Netanyahu; it's self-survival. Hamas has sworn to destroy Israel. Indeed, that's Hamas' entire reason for being.
As Netanyahu said in an interview over the weekend, "It's either yes to Hamas or no to Hamas."
Palestinian culture is one of victimhood, but they have no one to blame but themselves. Yes, they are victims — of their self-imposed Islamic dictatorship and of an "international community" including the U.N. and dozens of other NGOs that have turned them into a welfare economy and fed their Islamist revenge fantasies of destroying Israel.
Israel is growing harder in its attitude toward the nonstop, nihilistic, anti-Jewish hate emanating from its neighbor. Far from being at fault for the Gaza disaster, Israel has been excessively careful in its response.
Some day Israel, tired of war and of carping from pro-Palestinian Western diplomats, including our own, will totally defeat Hamas. Only then is real peace possible.
Israel should have destroyed Hamas a long time ago. Unfortunately, it just kicked away another golden opportunity to do so. On the other hand, Fatah and the 'Palestinian Authority' aren't much better. The world continues to delude itself.
