Times' Rudoren: Hamas didn't harass anyone
The New York Times' Jodi Rudoren claims that the Foreign Press Association narrative about reporters being harassed by Hamas is 'nonsense.'
@joshmitnick Every reporter I've met who was in Gaza during war says this Israeli/now FPA narrative of Hamas harassment is nonsense
— Jodi Rudoren (@rudoren) August 11, 2014
Rudoren goes on to claim that the reports that the FPA got were 'anomalous.'
@Orlevy @joshmitnick Right, I just think the statement seems overly broad and exaggerated based on a few cases that may be anomalous
— Jodi Rudoren (@rudoren) August 11, 2014
But what Rudoren says us 'anomalous' seems to be Hamas policy.
Hamas says will issue press cards to foreign journos in Gaza Strip to 'facilitate' their work. http://t.co/rCtHhIFDoT

#Hamas says says foreign journos covering Gaza war must provide info about Palestinian translators & 'sponsors' & address where they stay.

Maybe Rudoren only knows 'Palestinian' reporters?Labels: Foreign Press Association, freedom of the press, Government Press Office, Jodi Rudoren, New York Times, Reporters without Borders

You know we all complained about her appointment months before the the NYT made it official. And let's not be too too shocked. The Times and its pundits indicated the outgoing chief was not only "Jewish" but "Too Jewish". Rudoren's appointment was openly admittedly a stick in the eye. On her first day on the job she proclaimed she would be (more) pro palestinian.
she's another camp follower with a press pass
