Obama hasn't figured out that Abu Mazen doesn't want peace
In an earlier post, I reported that World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder had said that now everyone knows that it's Abu Mazen who doesn't want peace. I said that I expected that sentiment to last about a week. I was wrong. It didn't even last a day. In a statement to the media in Seoul, South Korea this morning, President Hussein Obama ascribed as much blame to Israel as to the 'Palestinians' for the talks' collapse.
Speaking to the press while on a tour of Asia, the president said that Mideast peace has proven elusive due to the unwillingness of leaders in the region to make "hard choices."
Obama said on Friday it was still in the interest of Israel and the Palestinians to seek peace.'Leaders in the region.' Not Abu Bluff.
But keep taking those risks for peace Prime Minister Netanyahu, because President Hussein Obama's got your back.
What could go wrong?
