As odious as this deal sounds, I doubt the 'Palestinians' will agree to it
The JPost has details of the 'deal' for Jonathan Pollard's release before Passover, and I'm reproducing them below. The highlights in the list are the reasons why I think the 'Palestinians' won't go for this deal.1) Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard will be released before the first Passover seder on Monday April 14.
2. The negotiations will continue into 2015, during which time the Palestinians will committ themselves not to engage in diplomatic warfare against Israel by going to international organizations for recognition.
3) Israel will release the fourth batch of 26 Palestinians convicted of terror acts before the 1993 Oslo Accords. Some Israeli-Arabs will be included in the release, although it is not yet certain how many.
4) Israel will release an additional 400 Palestinian prisoners during the continuing negotiation period. These prisoners will be picked by Israel, will include many minors and women, and will not include those with "blood on their hands."
5) Israel will "exercise restraint" in releasing government tenders for new homes in the West Bank. This policy will not include Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem beyond the Green Line. This policy will also exclude public building projects such as roads. Israel has rejected a total settlement freeze.
No definition of what "restraint" exactly means was provided.I will guarantee you that the 'Palestinians' will reject this proposal before the end of the day.
Kerry has left the country. Good riddance!

When will this "peace process" farce end.
Build a simple, definite border for Israel. Tell the Palestinians that all aid is over. No more aid, jobs, etc. (Should have given Gaza back to Egypt instead of the Palestinians.)
Then, announce that cross border attacks will be met with extreme force. And that the border will be moved into Palestinian territory with each attack. Put that onto a map showing where the border movements will go.
ah, but Arutz Sheva says the Palis will get Barghouti back too. So the Palis are demanding, and receiving, Israeli Arabs who plot against Israeli Jews, and Palestinian leaders who direct the murder of Israeli Jews before, during, and after agreements are signed with them. While they refuse to accept responsibility to ingather Pali "refugees" in "Palestine" or recognize Jewish existence in the Land of Israel.

What benefit is Israel getting out of this emerging deal? Nothing.
There is no guarantee Pollard will actually be released and he has already called the proposed deal "shameful." And he would not seek his own freedom in these circumstances.
Apart from that, the Palestinian Arabs are not offering Israel any concrete concessions. They are not offering to stay at the table even if Israel agrees as here - to up the "rent" that is due.
They not offering Israel peace - which as usual is offering them something for nothing and that "something" is not sufficient enough for them to keep them pretending to "negotiate."
I agree the Palestinian Arabs will not accept the proposed terms on offer and I don't believe the votes are there to pass it in the Cabinet in the (unlikely) event they do. Netanyahu is trying to put lipstick on a pig but its still a pig.
Regardless of whether this deal or some variant of it happens or not, the fact remains the "peace process" is dead despite the Israeli government's pathological unwillingness to face reality.
Above all, that is the best news when all is said and done that we can have in 2014. Should the Palestinian Arabs walk away, let them do their worst! Israel will survive.

Obama is a liar and a terrorist.
@Carl,
Should abbas try to get recognition for "palestine" at the security council, what would be the risk ?
I am not a lawyer but I thought chapter 80 of UN charter ,adopted from San Remo binding clauses, awarded the sovereignty of WHOLE palestine to the sole Jewish People
Granted, obama might bypass that rule and decline to veto but wouln'it fatally undermine the whole institution ??????????
NormanF... why on earth do you think Israel is getting "Nothing." for the deal????????
Obama and his ilk are absolutely revolting malcontents and a pox on all their disgusting houses.
