I keep trying to convince myself to switch to kindle version, but I like them on my shelf (and in my "to read" stack so I can't ignore them). So I'll be ordering the paper version... Carl I. Jerusalem, do you guys want one?
BTW, it isn't just the Catholics. And there is a 3rd thing, where only believers in Christ (and belief/faith is the key, not life actions) will go to "heaven." And the rest, including Jews, will burn in "Hell" for all eternity. Those lovely liberal progressive Episcopalians (prime interfaith partners to Jewish communal organizations) teach that to the extent that the one who goes along with it will cut off relationships with parts of a family who raise the kids Jewish. There's some Anglican program out of the UK called Alpha that spread this poison throughout the '90s.
The church I attend is already very pro-Israel but I plan to order that book for the library.
I find the history of Israel strangely comforting. From the beginning the people of Israel have messed up big time and yet God has never disowned them. I have also messed up a lot and have had to remind myself that God's promises do not depend on me but on his faithfulness. God's covenant is eternal.
