Jerusalem city eruv is down
The
Jerusalem city eruv is down and eruvin around individual neighborhoods may also be down due to the snow.
Unconfirmed reports state that the eruv is down in Jerusalem. The
overhead wire which denotes the boundaries of the city are used for
avoiding breaking any laws of Shabbat which warn against carrying things
far distances outside. Further updates on this issue will be posted on Arutz Sheva as information become available.
This happened one other time since we've been here - in the winter of 1992.
