Why do I have trouble believing this?

The United States' lead negotiator with Iran, Wendy Sherman, has told Israel's Channel 10 that the US has not offered Iran any sanctions relief. (If you're interested in Iran, don't bother with the video at that link - it doesn't even mention Iran or the sanctions).
"We have not offered any sanctions relief on Iran, and we have not removed any sanctions," Sherman said in an excerpt of an interview with Channel 10 set to be broadcast in full on Sunday.
...
According to the US under secretary of state, Israel's security interests will not be dismissed during the negotiating process, which she said is still in preliminary stages.
Well, yeah, except that the Obama administration is trying to convince Congress not to impose more sanctions, and is  generally allowing Iran to drag this out long enough for them to be a nuclear power if they are not one already.

What could go wrong?
