Video: PM Benjamin Netanyahu's statement following his meeting with US Secretary of State John Kerry

Here's Netanyahu. This is more complete than the previous post.

Let's go to the videotape.

Matt Lee got it right again. Netanyahu is 'pissed off. '

All they want is the Sudetenland..then, "I have no further territorial demands in Europe."

Then, clueless, arrogant narcissist Mr. Kerry, waving a piece of paper in his hand at the airport, ... oh, you know the rest of it.

I'm reminded of a passage in Churchill's series The Second World War, for which he won the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Churchill began one chapter with this anecdote. Churchill had come over to America right after Pearl Harbor, was sitting in the White House with Roosevelt, having a cocktail before dinner. Roosevelt said that he was going to write his memoirs of WW2 after leaving office. He hadn't decided on a title yet and asked Churchill for a suggestion.

Churchill then replied immediately, "The Unnecessary War".

He then spent the rest of the chapter outlining how the Allies, even without America at first, had they acted in concert, could have prevented WW2. First, with no risk. Then with little risk. Later with more risk. Then, after Britain and France had squandered all their advantages, when Germany now held all the high cards, with enormous risk, no guarantee of success, or even survival, and with assured massive bloodshed, they finally drew the line at Poland.

As Spanish Historian Georges Santayana famously said, "We learn from History that we don't learn from History."

A Holocaust Survivor interviewed by the Jerusalem Post was asked what the most important lesson the world should learn from the Holocaust. He replied, "When somebody says he intends to kill you, believe him."
