UN 'human rights council' ignores Syria poison gas attack, slams Israel

"Let us state the truth: if the UN allocated just one-hundredth of the moral outrage it uses against the only democracy in the Middle East, murderous dictators like Assad might have been shamed, isolated and weakened, instead of elevated, celebrated and strengthened as champions of human rights." - UN Watch executive director Hillel Neuer, addressing UN Human Rights Council, Sept. 10, 2013.

Let's go to the videotape.

Hillel Neuer is right, of course. But does anyone expect otherwise anymore?

To borrow the late, great Abba Eban's quote, the UN yet again doesn't miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity, namely to show justified outrage about a real outrage, the Assad regime's use of chemical weapons against it's own people.

No matter the depths of bloody depravity of any Muslim regime against it's own people or others, the UN still focuses against Israel.

(I'm old enough to remember watching, as a young teenager, Mr. Eban's magnificent speech to the UN Security Council after the Six Day War. Still the most eloquent UN speech I ever saw! Shame the brilliant Mr. Eban was never PM of Israel. I suspect he'd have been a great PM.)

Captain, Abba Evan went to his grave believing in the gods of Oslo.

Until we have a truly faithful Jew as PM, we're in for more of the same.
