Who is the IRS targeting now?

Two weeks ago, I wrote a post in which I wondered whether the IRS had targeted American Jews in Israel - who are mostly Orthodox and vote Republican - for allegedly abusing the child care credit (the $1,000 per child refund).

For comparison purposes, let's go to the videotape.

Mish's Global Economic Trend Analysis estimates the cost to American taxpayers as $17 billion annually.  That includes $4 billion in fraudulent child care payments and $13 billion in fraudulent earned income payments.

But the IRS spends its time going after American Jews - who are American citizens - who happen to live in Israel.

Selective enforcement?
