And you thought Naftali Bennett was against uprooting 'settlements'
Jewish Home party leader Naftali Bennett is a past chairman of the Yesha Council (The Council of 'settlements' of Judea and Samaria), and therefore, one would have thought, an opponent of uprooting 'settlements.' I'm sure that's what all his voters thought....But now it turns out that the only thing standing between the Netanyahu government and uprooting 'settlements' is the agreement between Bennett and Yair Lapid. If they drop the agreement, both will come into the government where, together with the 'Right wing' Likud party, they can uproot 'settlements' together.
Makor Rishon correspondent Sofia Ron Moriah reports in a front page article in today's edition that representatives of Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid party to the coalition talks confirmed that the two members of the Likud Beiteinu negotiating team warned them that "we are going to difficult decisions. If you do not break up your pact with Bennett (Habayit Hayehudi) we won't be able to uproot communities if there is a need for difficult decisions. Together we can do it."Maybe that's why Bennett is insisting on keeping the agreement? What could go wrong?

Having recently viewed a map of settlements in Judea and Samaria, the question that immediately comes to mind is, "how can Israel defend all of them?"
Israel needs complete separation from Arabs, not to be hopeless intermingled with them.
Sorry folks. BTW, I'm a right wing US Zionist and conservative.
I'm a right wing US conservative and Zionist, but I don't see the wisdom of having all these settlements scattered all over Judea and Samaria.
Israel needs complete separation from Arabs, and the settlements do the opposite. Unless the Arabs of the West Bank are going to disappear, then Israel will eventually have to give up a lot of the settlements.
sorry guys :(
Novick, stay in America and thanks but no thanks for your Zionism.
The Arab goal has been to liquidate the Jews, even if it takes stages. Enough capitulation.
J&S need to be reconquered and the Arabs transferred to the current Fakestinian State of Jordan. Inshallah!
Carl, I said during the elections that Bennet would be Hershkowitz II.
