Change: Former Obama donor raises money for Romney, Gateway Pundit quotes Mondoweiss

I don't know where to begin with all the changes in this one. Ronald Perelman, who raised money for Obama in 2008, ran a fundraiser of high rollers - most of whom were Obama donors in 2008 - for Mitt Romney. And Gateway Pundit writes about it by quoting extensively from a post by - of all people - Mondoweiss (Hat Tip: Soccer Dad via Instapundit).
Why the change? Well, Perelman has also given a lot to Orthodox Jewish causes, and the Times says one of the people coming to Perelman’s house for the fundraiser had Israel on her mind:
A woman in a blue chiffon dress poked her head out of a black Range Rover here on Sunday afternoon and yelled to an aide to Mitt Romney, “Is there a V.I.P. entrance. We are V.I.P.”…

Laura R. Schwartz of New Jersey, the woman inside the Range Rover, complained that Mr. Obama had not visited Israel as president, a slight to the country, in her eyes. “I don’t think he is good for Israel,” she said. Mr. Romney, she said, “is a fresh face.”
Perelman was not the only former Obama supporter at the fundraiser. An estimated twenty-five percent of the attendees were former Obama supporters.
My own interpretation of this is that Perelman and friends voted for Obama in 2008 to show they aren't racists and now they're voting against him in 2012 to show they're not fools.

This reenactment by Al Sharpton on MSNBC may show that the Democrats are running scared of Romney and of voters who won't vote for Obama this time.

Let's go to the videotape.

Hmmm. I wonder who's getting Tawana Brawley's vote.

Al Sharpton, that wretched anti-Semitic, racist ignoramus! I can almost feel my blood pressure rising whenever he pollutes my TV or computer screen.

I guess Sharpton fits in pretty well at MSNBC, the most hard leftist of all broadcast or cable networks. It's also the network with consistently the worst ratings. Apparently, there is a limit to the market for hard lefty propaganda and faux journalism.
