Breaking: Santorum ending campaign
In its just concluded newscast, Israel Television reported that Republican candidate Rick Santorum is suspending his Presidential campaign. Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator who was Mitt Romney's top rival in the race for the Republican nomination, is ending his campaign for the presidency, AP and CNN reported Tuesday.So Romney is the nominee. I hope that the Vice Presidential candidate is a strongly pro-Israel conservative.
Santorum was to announce his decision at a news conference in Gettysburg, Pa., but aides confirmed beforehand that he will be suspending his campaign.
Santorum called Romney to inform him of his decision, campaign sources were quoted as saying.
