Do Turks have a thing for attacking sailors?

Maybe they thought the sailors were Israelis.... Eleven Turkish 'protesters' were arrested in the southwestern Turkish resort town of Bodrum on Sunday night for assaulting US sailors who were about to go on shore leave (Hat Tip: Joshua I).
Citing police sources, the Anatolia news agency said the sailors left the warship, which was docked in the Port of Bodrum, to tour the town on Sunday night. As they were exploring the center of Bodrum a group of protestors confronted them. Police intervened, detaining 11 people on charges of holding an illegal protest. Some 100 US soldiers then returned to the ship. Police have enforced strict security measures and are stopping anybody from approaching the ship. USS The Sullivans, part of the US Navy's Atlantic fleet, will reportedly leave Bodrum on Tuesday.

Sefa Parlak, a protestor, released a statement to the press on behalf of the group saying people do not want to see any US warships docking in Bodrum.
Maybe President Obama needs to hug Prime Minister Erdogan a little tighter. I wonder if the 'protesters' belong to the IHH.

What could go wrong?

LIttle Satan, Big Satan. Wake up, America! Vote out the enablers of Turkey being used as a whip against the West. Admiring passion between Obama and Erdogen; look at the photos of them. Vote them out!
