Anti-Israel hated comes to another California college campus
The ugly face of anti-Israel hatred came to the University of California-Davis on Monday night at a presentation by two Israelis sponsored by the campus Chabad club and the local chapter of StandWithUs (SWU).And the cowering police did nothing. When your humble servant asked one of the police why the police were standing idly by, he answered: “We have been instructed by our superior not to stop hecklers, and if you try to stop the hecklers, we have been instructed to close down the program.”Let's go to the videotape.
And the heckling continued . . . but at some point the main heckler apparently tired, and the speakers were able to get through their presentation, presentations punctuated by shouts and insulting laughs from the crowd.
Then the question and answer period started and quickly devolved into accusations of Israeli soldiers killing Palestinian babies and civilians (met with shouts of approval and loud applause from the crowd), and a call for the soldier to refuse to serve. It wasn’t long before the moderator judged that the students were so disrespectful to the speakers and to the rules of procedure that the program had to end.
But the heckling continued as the students streamed out, with several near-altercations occurring between pro-Israel supporters and the jeering students.
Disgraceful.
Many college campuses in the United States have apparently decided that free speech is no longer a value worth defending. Some day, that will come back to bit those in power.

Hmmm... I was thinking that the Nonie Darwish speech at UNM wouldn't have been disrupted if security had been present. But watching a similar event at UC Davis makes me think that it might have been actually canceled if security were there. Looks like the university police are running interference for the non-freespeechers. Also, if anybody knows the UNM disrupters in the UNM video, can we find out whether they were paid to disrupt our event like the UC Davis guy?
BTW, Andrew Breitbart = inspiration! David Horowitz = inspiration! The courage to stand up to these people. Some join the military and do counter insurgency, and some figure out ways to face these people down in the public square (and ELECTIONS!).
