Yisrael Beiteinu MK threatened over muzzein bill

Two weeks ago, I reported on a bill in Israel's Knesset that would restrict the sounding of the muzzein by mosques at odd hours of the day. Now, the MK who proposed that bill, Yisrael Beiteinu's Anastasia Michaeli, is subject to death threats.
MK Anastasia Michaeli (Israel Beiteinu) has faced death threats, following her proposal of a bill that would reduce the sound of the Muslim call to prayer.

Knesset Security Forces announced Wednesday that it is investigating the incident and guarding Michaeli. The Israel Beiteinu MK has given all threatening material to Knesset Security.

Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin condemned the incident, saying that he instructed security forces to do everything they can to make sure MKs are safe while doing their jobs.

MK Michaeli brought up the issue of threats over the controversial bill during an interview with Israel Radio Saturday, when she said that she has been “attacked” via her e-mail and Facebook accounts as a result of the bill, and that her family members have been threatened.

Michaeli did not detail what kinds of threats her family had received, but said she was considering going to the police.

Anyone surprised? It is not the way of the 'religion of peace'? If you have a problem with another person - kill them. Gee, what's so hard to understand?
