Report: Three Russian warships in Syrian territorial waters
Israel Radio reports that three Russian warships have entered Syrian territorial waters and are heading toward the port of Tartus.The ships will not dock at Tartus, but will remain in the vicinity to act as a deterrent to NATO action against the Assad regime.
I reported that this was expected to happen here.
In the past, there has been talk of setting up a Russian naval base in Tartus.
