Will this encourage the US to release Pollard? Even if the US released Pollard, it's probably too late to affect Afridi's fate. They've been holding Pollard for too long.

It may be tempting to believe that if/when Obama's poll numbers drop low enough he'll free Pollard but the fact remains is that Obama's base is nearly as antisemitic as the Arab world it worships.
