If the money is not in the bank, what other confirmation do you need?

How's this for spin? The 'Palestinians' are claiming that they have not yet received 'official confirmation' that the US Congress put a hold on the American taxpayers' annual donation to 'Palestinian' corruption.
PA Minister of Planning Ali Jirbawi said that the US Congress's decision to halt US aid to the Palestinians has not yet been issued to Palestinian officials, PA-run news agency WAFA reported on Monday.

Jirbawi, however, played down the effect of such a move should it happen, saying that it would not affect the PA's readiness for statehood.

The PA, he said, is "fully ready to embody the reality of a state," noting the difference between the financial crisis the PA faces and its readiness for statehood.

The minister of planning also laid out plans to reduce the PA's dependency on foreign aid, which he said the Palestinian government is "exerting all possible effort[s]" to ween itself from by 2013.

On Sunday, Ma'an reported, PA Foreign Minister Riyad al-Malki also said the PA has not received any "official confirmation" that he US aid money was being blocked.
2013? In what world?

But fear not: The European Union has consoled the 'Palestinians' by telling them that it will continue to pay jizya to them. The Europeans remind me of the 'lady' on the left, with the 'Palestinian Authority' playing the role of the creature on the right:

If you've forgotten who they are, go here.

According to Americans for Peace Now 2011 PA bolck funding is already out the door. ($200 mil). However Repubs on the House Foreign Affairs and the House Appropriations Committee ARE blocking $192 mil in "humanitarian programs for Palestinian residents of the West Bank and Gaza" that are funded by USAID through NGOs. It is a separate program from direct government to PA funding and is kept separate to protect it from PA corruption or retaliation for PA misdeeds. Additionally , however, $150 mil is blocked for PA "security assistance" through another program, by Repubs Senate side maybe w/House GOP assistance. And 2012 cuts are threatened. Blocked money for 2011 was appropriated but holds have been placed on actual spending.

There's more yadda yadda thumbsucking on "what it means" according to the Peace Now crowd--surprise surprise it comes down to the false "narrative" that the UDI was "diplomatic terrorism" "cultivated for months by AIPAC, Israeli diplomats, and most of the American Jewish and right-wing Christian community".

or, those damn dual-loyal Israel lobby devils.
