Turkey using NATO to acquire weapons it could not otherwise afford
I'm sure none of you will be surprised to hear that Turkey is using NATO as a means for weapons acquisition.Turkey is using NATO to procure weaponry it wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford, according to an Armenian military expert.I'm happy to see Iran be concerned... if only it were true. But Israel is a different story.
As Artsrun Hovhannisyan told a news conference in Yerevan, “having failed at attempts to gain military independence, Turkey is using NATO financing to obtain weaponry.”
“NATO missile defense system deployment will largely contribute to Ankara’s military might, raising concerns of Iran and Israel,” he said.

I've said multiple times that I think Libya was the trial practice run for the Obama people and Turkey to provoke Israel in such a way as to weasel in the NATO umbrella and the "UN responsibility to protect", so that the NATO force (including the U.S. military) can be used to delete Israel. Turkey is still part of NATO. The weapons acquisition is not the totality of this effort... and remember Egypt gets U.S. weapons in equal $$measure to Israel every year.
So, the Obama posse knows Israel will kick the butts of the neighbors if they attack. But maybe not the whole of the NATO/US juggernaut. Netanyahu is doing a good job pushing everything outward past the 2012 elections. Support him. And we on the ground are doing our best to get this attempt at a commie caliphate dictatorship voted out.

A great article with great links.

Erdogan plans to visit Iran: report
http://tehrantimes.com/index.php/politics/2626-erdogan-plans-to-visit-iran-report
TEHRAN – Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said that he plans to pay a visit to Iran in the near future, according to Turkish media.
Erdogan made the announcement in an interview with reporters in Tunisia on Thursday.
Erdogan’s visit to Tehran will be important because Turkey has agreed to host an early warning radar as part of NATO’s missile defense system, which is ostensibly meant to counter an alleged ballistic missile threat from Iran. Tehran has expressed disapproval of the decision.
