Abu Mazen met with Barak and Peres last month, met with Israeli traitors on Monday

Barack Hussein Obama isn't the only one trying to bring about a change in the Israeli government. 'Moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak in Amman last month, and he has met with President Shimon Peres several times recently. But he will not meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu. No way no how.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas revealed on Monday that he recently met with Defense Minister Ehud Barak in Jordan and discussed with him the future of relations between Israel and the Palestinians.

Abbas made the revelation during a meeting in his office in Ramallah with a group of Israeli intellectuals and academics. He said that the meeting took place on August 24, but did not give further details.
But this story gets even better. Guess why those 'intellectuals and academics' met with Abu Bluff.
Writer Sefi Rachlevsky, who was among the group that met with Abbas, told The Jerusalem Post that he and his colleagues came to Ramallah to express their full support for the PA's plan to ask the United Nations to recognize a Palestinian state along the pre-1967 lines later this month.

"We warmly support the declaration of a Palestinian state," Rachlevsky said. "This is the realization of the Zionist dream when a people declare their independence."

He added that the group of Israelis have called on the international community and US President Barack Obama to support the statehood bid. Rachlevsky also voiced support for the idea of land swaps between the future Palestinian state and Israel.

He said that as far as he and his friends were concerned, the West Bank and the Western Wall are under occupation and should be placed under Palestinian control. "When there's a Palestinian state, Israel can always demand that certain parts of the West Bank and the Western Wall be placed under Israeli control," Rachlevsky explained.

He and other members of the group, including historian Yehuda Bauer, former Labor MK Yael Dan [Yael Dan is an actress. This might be a reference to Yael Dayan, the former MK who used to get her picture taken on the beach on Yom Kippur. CiJ], author Yoram Kaniuk and Alon Liel, former director general of the Foreign Ministry, said they were deeply impressed by the "extremely moderate" views expressed by Abbas during the meeting.

"We even think that he's too moderate," he told the Post. "He wants a state only on 22% of Palestine. He is really a very moderate leader. We felt much closer to him than the Israeli government although we are very Zionist and some of us had fought in the War of Independence in 1948."
Mind you that the 'academics' - and probably most of the 'intellectuals' - have their salaries paid by... the State of Israel.

Of course, here in Israel we don't even have a Logan Act, so morons like Bashar Al-Assad's shill Alon Liel (that name has come up a lot lately, hasn't it) can go around creating the impression that they represent more than 3% of the country' s Jews (which they don't).

Given that our opposition is not any more loyal to the country than these 'intellectuals and academics' what can we expect?

Here's the bottom line: Unless and until Abu Mazen meets with Netanyahu there aren't going to be any meaningful negotiations. Meeting with Peres and Barak does nothing except to prove that Abu Mazen doesn't want peace. But then, we knew that already.

This is a great thread by you, especially about the radical Alon Liel, who think Assad is a man of peace. It just shows you how radical these leftists are.
Assad knows he can murder as many Syrian civilians as possible and Liel will come to his defense.

Zvi Bar'el is just as radical.
He just wrote an article
To end diplomatic crisis with Turkey, Israel must apologize

http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/to-end-diplomatic-crisis-with-turkey-israel-must-apologize-1.382309

I dont think their is a Jihadist Bar'el wont appease.
As someone posted about Bar'el, he is continually apologizing for being an Israeli.
I suggest the move to Turkey, Iran or some Arab country and do his apologizing there.

Its interesting how none of these radicals have seen the PA hate media. All they have to do is go on Palmediawatch.
Israelis should realize, their appeasement will mean letting in millions of Arabs into Israel to destroy it.
We all know the radical NGO
Hedva Radovanitz, who manages grants totaling about 18 million dollars per year, believed that in 100 years Israel would be majority Arab and that the disappearance of a Jewish state would not be a tragedy.
Thats why i believe Israelis must stand up to the Kapos today and learn from WW2 what happens when you dont stand up to Kapos.

I saw this on Sunday.
Yet these radicals above think Abu Bluff is moderate.
This proves how insane they are.

Abbas Won’t Give Way on Refugee “Return” Even If He Gets State.

Those inclined to blame Israel for the lack of peace in the Middle East like to talk about the necessity of a two-state solution. But as much as a scheme that left Jewish and Palestinian Arab states living in peace with each other might seem like the only way out of the century-long conflict, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas gave us yet another reminder yesterday about the problem with merely focusing on the creation of a Palestinian state.

As the Jerusalem Post reports, in an interview with a Jordanian newspaper, Abbas made it clear even if the General Assembly of the United Nations voted to recognize an independent Palestinian state in the 1967 lines, the PA would continue to insist on the “right of return” for Arab refugees to swamp Israel.

If he gets his way, Abbas will have a Jew-free state in the West Bank and Gaza next to a Jewish state that will have to live under the threat of being deluged with Palestinians who would transform it into yet another Arab state. That helps explain why he continues to refuse to recognize the legitimacy of a Jewish state.

Only the left could think this is a moderate.

A man of peace?
Ignoring Abbas’ horrific track record of the last 50 year rewards terror
Yoram Ettinger

Since 2007, US foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority and to PA-controlled NGOs reached nearly $2BN, in addition to $3.7BN contributed by the US to UNRWA since 1950. Has American foreign aid to Abbas advanced moderation, the pursuit of peace and US national security interests?

On April 20, 2010 Abbas named a Ramallah street in honor of Abu Jihad, the architect of PLO terrorism during 1965-1988. For example, Abu Jihad masterminded the March 11, 1978 Israeli Coastal Road Massacre - the hijacking two civilian buses, and murder of 38 civilians, including 13 children. He also orchestrated the March 1975 Tel Aviv Hotel Savoy Massacre, murdering seven civilians.

On March 11, 2010 Abbas -controlled TV and dailies (Al-Ayam and Al-Khayat Al-Jedida) praised Dalal Mughrabi - who commanded the Coastal Road Massacre - as a martyr. On January 16, 2010, Abbas announced that a major square in El-Bireh shall be named in honor of Mughrabi. The PA also named a Hebron girls’ school, a computers center, a summer camp and a sport tournament in honor of Mughrabi.

Abbas and Salam Fayyad authorize the transfer of monthly allowances to families of Palestinian “martyrs”/terrorists. They pay condolences visits to families of suicide bombers, acclaiming them as national heroes.

In 1994 Abbas instituted – as Arafat’s Deputy - an unprecedented system of hate-education through the PA-controlled school, media and mosque systems. Since January 2005 – when he replaced Arafat – Abbas has perpetuated the anti-Jewish, anti-Israel and anti-US hate education. Mein Kampf and the anti-Semitic “Protocols of the Elders of Zion” are best sellers. Hitler and suicide-bombers are folk heroes.

Hate-education, and not a dialogue with Western policy-makers and public-opinion molders, reflects Abbas’ ideology/strategy. Hate-education cements Palestinian national identity. It feeds the root cause of the Arab-Israeli conflict: the de-legitimization of the existence – and not the size – of the Jewish state. Hate-education has been the main manufacturing line of terrorists in general and suicide bombers in particular

Promoting Shoah denial

Abbas’ education system de-humanizes the Jewish state, heralds a religious war against the Jewish State, idolizes martyrs/suicide bombers who “live next to Allah” and “whose blood is pure,” denies the Mideast roots of the Jewish state, fuels anti-Semitism, glorifies "the claim of return" (code name for Israel's destruction) and promotes Holocaust denial.

On August 13, 2009 Abbas ratified the resolutions of Fatah’s 6th General Conference. For instance, “Armed struggle is a strategy, not a tactic… for the elimination of the Zionist presence. The struggle shall not end until the Zionist entity is eliminated and Palestine is liberated (article 19)…Popular armed revolution is the only way to liberate Palestine…Opposing the recognition of Israel as a Jewish State…”

Abbas was Arafat’s top confidant and first deputy for 50 years, partaking in the betrayal of Arab host countries: Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon and Kuwait. He enrolled in KGB courses and submitted a doctorate thesis on Holocaust denial at the Moscow University.

Abbas coordinated PLO ties with ruthless Communist regimes, supervised the logistics of the 1972 Munich Massacre (11 Israeli athletes murdered), co-supervised the March 1973 murder of two US ambassadors in Sudan, was a key member of the Palestinian cell of the Muslim Brotherhood in Cairo and earned the nickname – “Mr. 20%” - due to his corruption.

Ignoring Abbas’ horrific track record of the last 50 years, and applying moral equivalence and even-handedness, constitutes a victory to wishful-thinking, rewarding terrorism, adding fuel to the fire of terrorism and Middle East turbulence, at the expense of peace and vital US interests.

Dan - This is about 90% of the problem with people living in Western civ. countries. Turkey still has the basics in place from the Ataturk years, so Turkey doesn't fit the bill for going to live somewhere. If they have travelled, it is not to LIVE in these places that are soooo depressing. Did these marxists ever make it to East Germany before the wall came down? Did they ever go, not on youth hostel traveling, but to stay and live like the locals. Hate to say it but the Israelis are just as bad about this as the Americans. I know some church people who send their youth groups to Central America to help build housing, etc., like Peace Corps. They come back sick and stunned and then are very confused by the American left people (and the not-left who are ignorant!). The poor will have it even worse if the marxist caliphate people take over... ugh.

Most Israeli Jews are not fooled by Abu Bluff's Jewish fellow travelers. The bottom line is the Palestinians go out of their way to appear moderate but in reality they reject real peace with Israel.

That is not going to happen in our lifetime.
