Abu Mazen and Netanyahu speak at the UN; UPDATED 2X

Just a reminder that I am in New Jersey and that the Sabbath has not started here yet.

'Moderate' 'Palestinian' President Mahmoud Abbas Abu Mazen spoke to the United Nations General Assembly on Friday followed by Prime Minister Netanyahu. Here's Abu Mazen's speech. It's in three parts. Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of time to comment, but he was quite antagonistic.

Here's Part 1. Let's go to the videotape.

Here's Part 2. Let's go to the videotape.

Here's Part 3. Let's go to the videotape.

Parts 2 and 3 are is not up yet from al-Jazeera English. The entire speech is up in Arabic but that won't help most of you. I will keep trying.

Did I mention that I walked right past Hanan Ashrawi on 1st Avenue on Thursday?

I watched Netanyahu's speech live (with one Leftist in the room - everyone else was Rightist or kept quiet) and I thought he was quite good. This is definitely not all of it, but it's not all online right now. Netanyahu got cheers when he called on Abu Mazen to meet with him in New York now, and he got cheers when he said that everyone should have walked out on Thursday when Ahmadinejad spoke. This is in two parts.

Here's Part 1. Let's go to the videotape.

Here's Part 2. Let's go to the videotape.

It was quite good. He talked a bunch about the withdrawal from Gaza and the rockets. And the potential for rockets to be fired from any high ground Israel vacates to the East of Jerusalem. He even outlined the "Judenrein" plan, the main showstopper for most unicorn Americans "supporting" the Palestinians. Excellent. (I think he or his speech writers read your blog, Carl.)
