Lebanese Mufti: 'Palestinians are unwelcome trash'

The mufti of Lebanon, Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani, was quoted this week as saying that 'Palestinians' are trash and are no longer welcome in Lebanon.
Sheikh Qabbani’s remarks were made during a meeting he held in his office in Beirut with a Palestinian delegation representing refugees and various Palestinian factions in Lebanon.

The furious mufti later kicked the Palestinian representatives out of his office.

More than 400,000 Palestinians live in Lebanon, most of them in extremely harsh conditions in refugee camps.

The meeting was called to discuss Palestinian “assaults” on state-owned and Islamic Wakf lands in Lebanon.

“We’ve hosted you and no longer want you,” the mufti told stunned members of the Palestinian delegation.

Accusing Palestinians of “usurping” Wakf lands to build houses, Sheikh Qabbani told his visitors: “I will defend Wakf lands even if that costs me all what I have.”

Attempts by the Palestinian representatives to clam the mufti further enraged the top religious official, who at one point shouted at them: “You are trash. You [Palestinians] will never be victorious. Nor will your cause. I’m no longer afraid of your weapons.”

The Palestinian delegates said they were extremely shocked by the mufti’s abusive language and threats.

“He called us trash,” one of them said. “He didn’t even give us time to respond to his allegations.”
Another civil war among the Arabs coming? Read the whole thing.

The Arabs consider the Palestinians trash.

Israel's Stupid Jews might begin following their advice.

Do "trash" need their own state? Just sayin'!

If the Arabs think the Palestinian Arabs are not good enough for them, why should Israel treat them better than the Arabs do?

Palestinians are the face of chutzpah and entitlement for doing absolutely nothing but destroying everything they touch. They are human termites who reap havoc every place they hang their kaffiyeh. If they move next door things explode. They should be very careful of their vociferous squawking for another Holocaust it just might be their own ..

OK, I can't resist. Nobody likes to be called trash and this Mufti dude seems off his rocker! But I laughed my butt off when I heard what he said.

On a serious note, the already fragile Lebanon will surely be impacted by what appears to be a brewing civil war in Syria; btw, I still haven't figured out who the 'bad guys' are in this arab period of strife. It looks like Assad is just a proxy for Shia Iranian influence while the Sunni Syrians are not will to take crap any longer.

Sounds like the Mufti's statement plays to putting further international pressure on Israel to accept the "right of return". Ain't gonna happen.

Dude... ugh.

So just read Winston Churchill's book called River War about Sudan, Turkey, Egypt, etc. in 1898, before the modern state of Israel. That seems to be the default baseline of behavior in the region. And what Israel needs is a waiver, under which they/you will be left out of the normal operations of the region. I keep hearing people talk about "cooperation", etc. but really, until these folks can stop killing as an anger management relief mechanism (or whyever they do this stuff). the word is "waiver". Leave Israel alone. Then others in the region who actually do want to make life better on this planet in this lifetime can contact Israel individually if they want to work together.
