Already partnered with a Nazi collaborator, now they're partnering with a convicted murderer

For those who have not noticed yet, posting will be lighter on Tuesday and Wednesday. I am taking Mrs. Carl for a mini-vacation in northern Israel (in fact, I was going to leave the laptop home altogether, but someone graciously scheduled me a web-based meeting on Tuesday evening :-).

I recall noting in a post some time ago that 20% of Israel's Hebrew 'Palestinian' daily is owned by Germany's Media Group M. DuMont Schauberg GmbH & Co., which is owned by a family with a proven history of collaboration with the Nazi regime, which it loyally served. Now another 20% of Haaretz has been sold to a convicted murderer.
The second partner, announced today by Haaretz Group, is Leonid Nevzlin. "Haaretz" styles him the "chairman of the board of trustees at Beit Hatfutsot - the Museum of the Jewish People" and mentions other honors. I did not see the word "oligarch".

Nevzlin has been convicted in Russia of murder and other serious crimes. His appeal was dismissed. Russia has asked for his extradition, and the case is not yet over. Nevzlin may be a victim of persecution, as he claims, but still…
Well what do you expect from a newspaper whose editor-in-chief once asked America's Secretary of State to rape Israel!

The deflector of the left: "Don't judge me, man!"

(Where up north? Hagoshrim, the lovely Club Med type spot? Or maybe Tiberius on the lake? Or maybe the sea caves at Rosh Hanikra? So many lovely spots to choose from!)

Right - Nazis and a murderer! That fits right in with the Hebrew Palestinian daily's ethos. Not a pretty picture.

it should be mentioned, that Nevzlin probably sat it out till now, because he was hoping Khodorkovsky would be freed. Recently Khodorkovsky got another 7 or so years and his appeal was overuled by the Russian courts.

Nevzlin needs a propoganda machine.
