Maan issues a correction

Maan has issued a 'correction' of the 'mistranslation' of its Tuesday night article on the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade statement on Osama Bin Laden's death. But please note the subtle difference between their new translation into English and Palestinian Media Watch's new translation.

The PMW version:
The Islamic nation "is capable of supplying an abundance of new blood... [for] restoring the glory of Islam and the flag of Allah's oneness."
Maan new version:
"It [the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades' statement] added that "we tell the American and Israeli occupier that the nation which produced leaders who changed history with its Jihad and patience is a nation capable of invigorating the resistance, which extends across the nation and is capable of restoring the glory of Islam and its flag of unity, God willing."
Maybe it's just me, but the PMW version seems to be calling for holy war (the 'flag of Allah's oneness' says to me 'there is no other and we'll kill anyone who thinks there is'), while the new Maan version is only talking about unity of Muslims, Allah willing.

Being an experienced translator (Hebrew to English only), I suspect that there's an Arabic idiom here that only a native-level Arabic speaker is likely to be able to interpret correctly - if he chooses to do so.

Does anyone else read it that way? My Arabic is non-existent. Can anyone read the original Arabic and tell me I'm imagining things?
