Syrians want Israel to intervene against Assad
More proof that the Arab world has other things on its agenda aside from Israel's dispute with the 'Palestinians': Some Syrian protesters have called on Israel to intervene against Bashar al-Assad in Syria. "We need international intervention. We need countries to help us," a witness in Daraa told the Associated Press on the phone, adding that he saw five corpses after security forces opened fire on a car.Let's cut a deal: You forget the Golan and sign a peace treaty and we normalize relations and help you build your economy. What do you say?
"Let Obama come and take Syria. Let Israel come and take Syria. Let the Jews come – anything is better than Bashar Assad," he said, playing on Syria's hatred for Israel to highlight how much town residents despise their leader.

Hardly surprising.
Arabs treat Arabs far more harshly than Israel has ever treated Arabs.
Like I said decades of Assad's anti-Israel hatred are boomeranging on the regime precisely because it responds to its own Arab population in a way it hasn't responded to Israel.
But there is no doubt the Syrians would do in a minute to the Jews what they are doing to their own people if they ever got the chance.
What's happening in Syria should awaken people to the true nature of the Assad dictatorship.
If Israel were to go into Syria, it would certainly become another 'Iraq', with Iran continuously feeding the enemy.
As always in the Middle East, and moreover throughout the world today, all roads lead back to Tehran.

Forget the Golan? That's such an arrogant thing to say. It's illegally occupied land that Israel should give back.
