This is a human rights campaign for Gilad Shalit, a dual citizen of Israel and France, who was captured during his compulsory national service by terrorists who illegally entered Israel in 2006.

Help us share his story, demand action by the international community, and remind the world that he is still captive and we have not forgotten.

You can do this by writing a personal message to Gilad Shalit on this site. Because Gilad is being held without access to mail, family or Red Cross visits, we will pass these messages on to those in the international community who should be enforcing his rights and working toward his freedom. It will, at minimum, be a reminder to them of their failings and that the world is watching. Perhaps the messages will eventually get through.

More for Organizations

Read the short letter, and the longer briefing document for organizational leaders and share them with your committee. Register your organization and get your unique referral link to share with your members. Perhaps send this out as part of your Pesach greetings?

More for Individuals

Please help us by leaving your message and sharing the campaign with others using the social media buttons provided, or simply by telling people (online and in person).

About the organisers

This is a grassroots campaign which any organizations in good standing, and willing to support a call for Gilad Shalit’s freedom, can join. Any individual willing to support a call for his freedom is welcome to leave him a message through this platform.

Some additional notes

The Community Internet Engagement project (CIE) (who have created the platform) reserve the right to delete any abusive messages (and not deliver them). Any messages entered and marked by a user as public will only become public at CIE’s discretion and after review (and may then be used in publicity, by journalists, etc). News articles sent by organizations may be edited and translated by volunteers before they are published.
And please make sure to tell them that I sent you.
