The first hopeful sign I've seen out of Turkey in two years
This is the first hopeful sign I've seen out of Turkey in two years. Really. The sign? The IHH is 'postponing' its participation in the flotilla until after the Turkish elections in June.According to the report, the group will wait to see if Turkey's Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan will be reelected during the June elections before it decides to send the Mavi Marmara ship to Gaza. This means that having their collective faces rubbed in the flotilla would cause Turks to vote against Prime Minister Erdogan. And that is the most hopeful thing I've seen coming out of Turkey in two years. It means that (at least the IHH is afraid that) many Turks don't support the flotilla attack on Israel.
