Livni asks Bibi to get it on

I guess Tzipi Livni is tired of being opposition leader.
Opposition Leader Tzipi Livni called on Sunday for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to form a coalition with Kadima.

Speaking in Las Vegas to The Rabbinical Assembly, the international body of 1,600 Conservative rabbis, Livni said: "If the biggest parties in Israel, Kadima and Likud, would work together, we could change the reality in Israel."

"In one of my meetings with Prime Minister Netanyahu, I was talking about the peace process and the need to enter negotiations to end the conflict," she explained. "In order to do so, we can work together as partners, but he needs to give up what he calls his 'natural partners,' so we can create and write the first chapter of the Israeli constitution."
Of course, her appeal is missing the two magic words: "No rotation."

I also doubt that Netanyahu could now enter a coalition with Kadima without dividing his own party.

"Change reality"?

We don't want socialism, that's why we didn't vote for it in the last election!

These leftists have no understanding of democracy...

Tzipi Livni would have to be content to be Foreign Minister. I don't think she really wants the job again.

And her rival Shaul Mofaz, is more hawkish on Gaza than Netanyahu!

I suspect a good part of Kadima would be happy to join the Likud under any reasonable terms - but those terms preclude Livni's becoming Prime Minister so that won't happen in the foreseeable future.
