Important stuff: Phillies v. Red Sox?

Rasmussen may have gotten the World Series times right, but they got the winner wrong. God willing, it's going to be the Red Sox this year.
The Philadelphia Phillies and Boston Red Sox arguably made the biggest off season moves, and fans put them ahead of the pack going in to the 2011 Major League Baseball season.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Adults who watch professional baseball at least once a week shows that 21% think the Phillies will win the World Series this upcoming season. Seventeen percent (17%) think the Red Sox will win their first title since 2007. But their biggest rival is right behind as the New York Yankees are picked to win by 15% of baseball fans. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

No other team earns double-digit support. Even last year’s champions, the San Francisco Giants, are picked by just six percent (6%) of fans to win the Fall Classic.

The Milwaukee Brewers, Atlanta Braves, Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins all received five percent (5%) or less of the vote to win it all this year. Nineteen percent (19%) opted for another team not mentioned in the survey.

The Phillies are favored by fans possibly as a result of signing top free agent pitcher Cliff Lee this off season. The Red Sox were not far behind in making off season headlines as they landed top free agent outfielder Carl Crawford and made a blockbuster trade for San Diego Padres first baseman Adrian Gonzales.
Go Red Sox!

Actually Red Sox cannot win, curse of the Bambino still Stands. (the time they supposedly won, it was under modified rules, with wildcard teams).
Whoever heard of such desecration of traditions. Once you let riff-raff like Sox in, anything can happen in short series. But they never made it under the proper rules and that is that.

I hope I don't get banned for this, my excuse is I am still odloyada. :-)
