Glenn Beck on Tamar Fogel

On Wednesday night's show, Glenn Beck did a second follow up on the Fogel family from Itamar, five of whose members were murdered last Friday night.

In this brief clip, Glenn talks about 12-year old Tamar Fogel, who was out at a youth group activity when her parents and three siblings were murdered.

Rather than tell you what he says, I'll let you watch it yourselves.

Let's go to the videotape (Hat Tip: Cheryl H).

Beck undoubtedly saw this report:
The eldest daughter of the Fogel family, 12 year old Tamar, promised her relatives: "I will be strong and succeed in overcoming this. I understand the task that stands before me, and I will be a mother to my siblings". The orphaned youngster's words were quoted in the Hebrew daily Yisrael Hayom.
And opposition leader Tzipi Livni also had a surprise on Thursday when she want to pay a shiva call on Tamar Fogel and her family.
Opposition leader Tzipi Livni made a pledge to 12-year-old orphan Tamar Fogel on Wednesday to work to bring about the release of Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard.

...

Pollard's wife Esther visited the shiva house earlier and presented teddy bears from her husband to Tamar and her two surviving siblings. Tamar showed the bear to Livni and asked her to take action on behalf of Pollard, who has served more than 25 years of a life sentence.

Livni responded that she has worked to bring about Pollard's release and would continue to do so. She commended Tamar for her selflessness.

"Despite all your pain, you are thinking about the pain of others,” Livni told Tamar. “This is heartbreaking and amazing.”
Beck wonders how Tamar's parents could have raised a child like that. In large families here, it is actually fairly common for the older children to take charge of the younger children whenever the parents are not available.
