She desperately needs to keep her mouth shut
If I had to make a list of people who need to keep their mouths shut, Helen Thomas would be high on the list. Helen Thomas, the veteran journalist who was fired for her anti-Jewish comments made another historically questionable statement on CNN this week. She stated that following the Holocaust, Jewish residents of Europe could have simply returned to their former homes as opposed to going to Israel. Thomas stated, that Jewish residents "didn’t have to go anywhere really, because they weren't being persecuted anymore. But they were taking other people’s land.” Thomas is of Lebanese-Arab heritage.Someone please ship her back to Beirut.

I think she's gotten to the point where now that she's paid the price for one lie, she will now tell bigger & bigger ones because she has nothing left to lose. Even worse, she may actually believe the crap she's spewing - & I think that's the way it is with the rank & file idiots, for sure: more ignorant than malevolent, even if it works out the same.
