UNIFIL running scared of Hezbullah again
It's deja vu all over again in southern Lebanon, with UNIFIL
disappearing out of fear of Hezbullah.
UNIFIL has reduced the scope of patrols in south Lebanon following the political crisis in the country, Lebanese newspaper al-Akhabar reported on Friday.
According to the publication, which is affiliated with Hezbollah, most of the foreign commanders in UNIFIL spoke with diplomats from their countries as well as officials in Beirut in order to guarantee their troops' safety.
What could go wrong?

If Hezbollah wants another showdown with Israel, UNIFIL will gladly oblige and leave the country. The Blue Helmets are not in position to force Hezbollah to back down.
And Ehud Olmert and Tzipi Livni keep boasting what a great victory UN Resolution 1701 was for Israel. Yeah, sure.
