I am an Orthodox Jew - some would even call me 'ultra-Orthodox.' Born in Boston, I was a corporate and securities attorney in New York City for seven years before making aliya to Israel in 1991 (I don't look it but I really am that old :-). I have been happily married to the same woman for thirty-five years, and we have eight children (bli ayin hara) ranging in age from 13 to 33 years and nine grandchildren. Whoa! I'm going out now to corner the dunce cap market!
How did any of these vegetables get accepted to university? Did their daddy's donate a campus building or are they the children of Hollywood stars?
These universities are some of the top research universities in the U.S./world. While these kids have been kept in the dark and fed sh*%, their professors know better. So there is a combination of active deprival of reality and passive silence on the part of the faculty, administration, and research staffs of these universities. Why would the math and hard science departments stay silent? My theory is that, as in the U.K., these brainy people are ENVIOUS of the success of Israel in their fields. They feel blameless in letting this attack on Israel (and their own Jewish students, BTW) continue as a means of slowing down the success so they can try to keep up. I'd like them to prove me wrong by speaking up. But not so far. Here's another one:

Shy Guy, those vegetables (good descriptive noun) were probably in the upper half of their high school class, to get accepted at UCLA.
And they're too busy getting a liberal indoctrination to get educated. Educated about anything, much less international affairs, much less Israel and the Middle East.
The quality of college education is getting worse and worse in America. To get an opportunity to get an education, as opposed to a liberal indoctrination, a student has to avoid almost all public universities and most private ones. Liberal groupthink has saturated the majority of college and university faculties in America.
How about in Israel? Are liberal professors and faculties as predominent in Israel? Comments on this, anyone?
This was like Jay Leno's Jaywalking bits - people actually said the Easter Bunny is in the Bible. I hope at the end of the UCLA interviews the students were given annotated fact sheets. Maybe the History and Middle East Dept chairs should be given them also.
The only ones who weren't on the receiving end of affirmative action were the white girl and the Asian dude.. They could tell you all about fashion, video games and Hollywood gossip in detail ad infinitum. This is why it's so easy to convince mushrooms things like this that Israel is an apartheid state and Rachel' Tomb is really a mosque ...
