Official PA daily: Israel is "a country whose aim is destruction and ruin of humanity"
I'm back in Israel, thank God. After hearing my seatmates' ten-day odyssey to get here to see their grandson put on Tefillin tomorrow, I am grateful that my trip - door-to-door including leaving super-early for the airport in Boston and stopping at the airport in Israel for morning prayers before coming home - was a little less than 20 hours. Airport to airport to airport (Boston to London to Tel Aviv) was about 14 hours and 20 minutes.In an article in the sports section(!) about Qatar's winning the right to host the 2022 World Cup, the official 'Palestinian Authority' daily newspaper Al-Hayat Al-Jadida had some choice words about Israel.
The PA continues to demonize and incite hatred of Israel. An article in the official PA daily described Israel this way:'Peace' isn't coming anytime soon - with or without the scare quotes.
Israel is a country -"whose aim is destruction and ruin of humanity"This article appeared in the sports section of the official PA daily in an article about Qatar being chosen as host of World Cup in 2022. Israel was presented as the example of evil in the world in contrast to Qatar's excellence.
"which disseminates destruction, ruin and weapons in the world"
"which acts to kill nations, to threaten them and to occupy their land"
"which acts to disseminate the culture of hatred and racism among human beings"
The article also denied the legitimacy of Israel's existence when it labeled the Israeli Carmel Mountains "the occupied Palestinian Carmel Mountains."

Good old fashioned anti-Semitism.
And there is going to be peace in the next year? Not any time soon.
