Pigskins in Jerusalem

It's Saturday night, and while we're on the sports theme, let's go to the videotape.

Fellow blogger Yisrael Medad reports:
a. my son plays defensive safety and linebacker for the Jerusalem Lions. No. 31
b. and they beat the Rebels that game, last week, 26-24
c. Kraft is the son of a Rabbi and speaks Hebrew a bit.
I've discussed the Judean Rebels team here and Patriots owner Robert Kraft - a huge supporter of Israel - many times, including here.

would be nice if baseball could catch on

what is it with europeans and baseball anyway?

they can stand watching a nil/nil soccer match...and hours of the most boring game in the world...cricket....but they cant stand baseball....the world's most intelligent and skilled sport

heathens

i do like that there are arabs in this league...

that was the problem with the last attempt at israeli baseball...they didnt include arabs

i hear that the yankees are getting involved with the next attempt to bring baseball to israel and the middle east

its said that one of the root causes of terrorism is poverty.

well, there isnt a more impoverished region than much of the caribean and south america....but very little of the export of terrorism.....why?

cuz baseball is huge there

their heroes arent mass murderers...they are ball players, like edgar rentaria, the alou bros, fernando valenzuela, omar vizquel

bring baseball to the arabs...and bring peace to the middle east
