Wilders acquitted on one count, another remains

Pro-Israel Dutch politician Geert Wilders has been acquitted of a charge of insulting Muslims and immigrants as a group, because his comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf did not insult any individual. For the same reason, the Dutch court in Wilders' trial for defaming Islam has ruled that none of the individual plaintiffs may recover monetary damages.

A charge of 'incitement to hatred and discrimination' remains to be determined.

More details here.

Given the verdict, I doubt Wilders will see prison and its been established criticism of Islam is not a crime. Nor should it be one.
