Edwards keeps her J Street money
Representative Donna Edwards (D-Md) got to keep her J Street money by telling NewPolicy.org's NewPolicyPAC, which is willing to consider a 'one-state solution' that she favors a two-state solution. According to the Washington Jewish Week, NewPolicy.org primarily lobbies for a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, but it has taken heat from pro-Israel advocates for supporting, at least in theory, the establishment of a single, secular, Democratic state in the Middle East.Edwards was the first politician to receive funding from J Street's PAC. J Street was attacked in anticipation of Edwards' speech and issued a statement saying that it expected her to reiterate her commitment to a 'two-state solution.'
