Surprise! Most Israelis want freeze to end

Most Israelis want to see an end to the building freeze in Judea and Samaria, according to a poll by Israel's Channel 10.
A Channel 10 News poll has found that a majority of Israelis want to end the building freeze on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria.

According to the poll, which includes Israeli Arabs, 39% want building to restart everywhere, 25% want building only in the major settlement blocks and only 21% want the freeze to continue.
21% want the freeze to continue and 20% of the country (approximately) is 'Israeli Arabs.' Hmmm.

Carl - the freeze has been over since Wednesday night and Prime Minister Netanyahu acknowledged as much. There is really no longer a need to wait til the official end of the freeze on September 26th.

I have a feeling the Palestinians are going to resign themselves to reality and in all the past negotiations, Jews building and living in Yesha didn't lead them to walk out of talks then and it won't happen either this time around.

@NormanF: I wonder if they will hold to their 'guns' on settlements, or just quietly let it go.

I am not as sanguine about this as you are. I think it more likely they will stand firm, and bluff all the way on the freeze issue. They know they have Obama on their side who will see this is an Israeli intransigence.

I just cannot see why they would not rely on Obama and the world on this one. It has worked so well so far for them?
