Good news: 'Peace process won't stop anti-Israel activity at the UN

Former Israeli ambassador to the United Nations Dore Gold as quoted by Eli Lake:
Mr. Gold, however, is skeptical that a peace process will shield Israel at the United Nations.

"There is no correlation between advancing the peace process and the assault on Israel in the main bodies of the United Nations," he said. "In fact, just to set the record, three months and one day after the Oslo Accords were signed on Sept. 13, 1993, a whole new series of anti-Israel resolutions were launched in the U.N. General Assembly."
If there's nothing to be gained, why bother?

Why bother indeed?

Terrorism and anti-Israel hostility ratchet up when there is a peace process going on. One can argue its the presence of expectations that increases rather than reduces pressure on Israel.

We've seen this script played out before.

What could go wrong indeed
