Obama to call the rabbis

President Obama is having a conference call with a group of rabbis on Tuesday afternoon to update them on the 'peace process.'
In the wake of the Israeli-Palestinian peace talks relaunch in Washington last week, and ahead of Hillary Clinton and George Mitchell heading to the next round of talks in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt and Jerusalem next week, the Obama administration is continuing to step up its outreach to Jewish and Muslim American leaders and other key domestic constituencies.

President Barack Obama himself will do a "Rosh Hashana" conference call with rabbis this afternoon on, Jewish leaders said. And Vice President Joseph Biden hosts Jewish leaders at a pre-Rosh Hashana reception at his Naval Observatory residence this evening.
We are left to speculate who the rabbis might be. I'd bet it's these 15 and probably not a whole lot more. But here's a curious addition from Laura Rozen.
UPDATE: WH note to those invited to participate in Obama's Rosh Hashana call this afternoon, attempting to make it an "off the record" call. At least participants are likely to refrain from live-tweeting it.
Thank you for registering for today’s Rosh Hashanah Call with President Barack Obama. The call will begin promptly at 3 PM Eastern. We strongly suggest calling in a few minutes early.

As a reminder, this is an off-the-record call. Please do not Tweet, Facebook, or publish any details in any fashion. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.

If you will be calling from the United States, please join us by dialing ....
Hmmm.

I'd like to know what was in the note he tucked into the Wall in that photo. It should have been removed. He may have put in a wish to see Jerusalem in fakestinian hands!

Hi Carl.
I think in the same pattern as Juniper.lol
Sigh he's so phony that i can't even find words to describe him.
He's speaking up in defence of the Muslims ,but that Muslims force Christians and others in Pakistan to convert to Islam in order to be able to receive humanitarian aid is ok?I wonder why any Rabbi would want even to meet with him?
