Fatah and Hamas 'close to reconciling'

I guess we could all see this one coming.
Progress was reported Sunday in Damascus reconciliation talks between Hamas and Fatah, according to the newspaper Al Ayam, associated with Fatah. Azzam Al-Ahmed, head of the Fatah faction in the Palestinian Authority (PA) Legislative Council said the two sides agreed on the elections and the structure of the PLO, but there was disagreement over the PA's security cooperation with Israel and the establshment of an independent security force for Hamas.

If these issues are settled, Hamas will add its signature to Fatah's.
You will recall that I did a post on Sunday about Secretary of State Clinton giving up on trying to bridge the gaps over the 'settlement freeze' because of this issue.

What could go wrong?

BS"D All Arab terror factions have always found a way to reconcile (at least temporarily) in order to unite against Jews and Israel.

The goal of wiping out Jews/Israel has always been the primary objective which over rules all else.
