We remember

Here's a video from a group called Keep America Safe, which includes interviews with family members (and a couple of survivors) of 9/11 victims. They're talking about the possibility of a mosque being built at Ground Zero. I'd like to show you the video and then I'll have a comment about it.

Let's go to the videotape.

Some of you may be wondering why I keep posting 9/11 material and what it has to do with Israel.

When 9/11 happened, the first reaction here was horror, and the second reaction was that the American people now understand (if they didn't before) what the battle against Islamic terror means and what we are up against. We believed that the American people understood that their battle and ours were and are one and the same.

Nine years later it hasn't always worked out that way. I believe that the American person in the street does have that basic understanding and therefore - aside from my residual feelings of American patriotism (you can't live in a country for 34 years without having strong feelings about it 19 years after you left; I didn't come to Israel to escape America and I still love America) - I believe that I must support the United States especially on this issue.

On the flip side, much of the political echelon in the US has never understood nor wanted to understand that our battle is one and the same as the American battle against terrorism. We were slapped in the face with that reality through President Bush's reaction to Prime Minister Sharon's Czechoslovakia speech shortly after 9/11, and it's only gotten worse under the Obama administration, which won't say the words 'Islamic terrorism.'

We Israelis understand that our battle against terror is one and the same as the battle of the United States and the other western democracies against terror, and therefore we have a duty to support those Americans who have the same understanding.

Sadly, we continue to remember but we the people have less influence on the white house then we would like to believe.

I don't swallow that for one moment for if it were true for the most part we truly have elected half wit imbasole's to public office not to mention the absolute highest office in the land.

As an example,
I remind you the handwriting about Iran was on the wall long before the U.S model of Chamberlain took office. Why was Iran not stopped? Why were we allowed to be brought to the edge of the abyss? If we continue to assess stupidity or ignorance as a reason we are doomed. If we fail however to ask how and WHY we came to this place in history today we are really doomed for failure this time.

I will never say Bush did not have the very best intentions on fighting the war on terror to the fullest degree because he did. I think he wanted to be a friend of Israel and failed miserably. However who rules the oval office even when a Republican is President is the State Department. Who rules the state department goes deeper than mere liberal ideologies. We have to believe that.

Remember the main reason Kissinger was put in the position of Secretary of State was to reform the state department. Even he failed to accomplish that role.

What does that tell you?

It is understood the role of the President of the U.S;commander and chief is that everyone in government takes orders from him. But is that really the way it works?

In the end, I have come to understand even the most well meaning of intentions fall short and that the President is not a puppet of the people but sooner or latter of darker and more dangerous ideologies that overtake reason.

The reason we have endured terrorism is symbolic of those whom we fear. It is a symbol of why we allow them to control us.

Why else would the best friend to Israel categorize a denier of the Holocaust, (the worst event in human history) A MAN OF PEACE?

How could it be said, that straight after 9-11 and the worst intifada in the history of Israel, our best friend sought to reward those who sought to kill our people in every possible manner? So much so that our best friend denied Israel her capital by not signing the embassy act, by not sending a representative of his government to the Anniversary of the Reunification of Jerusalem.

Well I could go on and on but ask yourself, how much was George Bush leashed to the State Department who sleeps with the House of Saud? Is it on purpose or out of fear or both?

When they realize that they're looking bad, they look around for the ZIONISTS! A truly pathetic bunch!

"Instead, it is a “Zionist conspiracy,” which many are making use of to harm the religion."
