IDF soldier (high ranking officer?) killed in Lebanon clash?
Hezbullah's Al Manar television (cited here by the 'Palestinian' Maan agency) is reporting that a 'high ranking IDF officer' was killed in Tuesday's clash in Lebanon and that the IDF is now trying to retrieve his body. IDF sources have denied that report according to Maan.A report from Al-Arabiya claiming an IDF soldier was killed was cited here on Twitter, with the addition that the IDF would not confirm or deny the report.
The IDF typically does not confirm that any soldiers have been killed (God forbid) until the family or families have been notified.
UPDATE 5:35 PM
Maan is also now reporting 'several' IDF soldiers wounded.
No comment from the IDF yet.
