IDF response to Facebook page
As some of you may have heard already, a discharged (female) IDF soldier published pictures of herself in uniform alongside bound and blindfolded 'Palestinian' terrorists. This was not Abu Ghraib - no leashes and no nudity. You can see one image here.Breaking the Silence, an organization which provided a lot of information for the Goldstone Report, but which doesn't have a whole lot of credibility, has set up a Facebook page with more pictures, and is claiming that publishing pictures with bound or dead 'Palestinians' is 'the norm' for IDF soldiers.
Here's an IDF response to the story.
Let's go to the videotape.
He's right. The Facebook photos are certainly not the norm in the IDF.

The difference here, of course, is that the Israelis may take a picture or two. Reverse the situation, and the "Religion of Peace" will cut your head off while you're still alive. No one ever talks about that, though, just how awful a harmless picture is and how it proves "how evil and heartless" the Israelis are. Pa-lease.
None of the Palestinians were mistreated, tortured or killed. Its one thing if Capt. Raz's picture were in poor taste but she did not seem to behaving inappropriately. Her real crime, in the eyes of the Israeli Left, is that she did her duty. And its shocking the IDF drummed out of the service to appease the anti-Israel lynch mob. Now if she HAD done something illegal or immoral, that would be different. The Facebook pictures are not that shocking. This is what happens in prison. No - the Palestinians there are not happy but Israel had good reason to detain them in the first place.
the real problem is there is no room for mistakes or forgiving. She messed up. I think perhaps the screening process for who deals with the soldiers needs to be better. How old was this girl? If these people were blindfolded then they were obviously dangerous. It is sad that the Arab favoring media used this against Israel when obviously this was not condoned by the IDF.
What's simply needed is to revise the law regarding misconduct while in the military.
If she was in the army at the time the pictures were taken, the law should entitle the IDF to punish her now for misconduct during service time.
Simple.
You can google all the pictures. Look for her name and look at the images.
This is, a tempest in a teapot. She shouldn't have taken them, never mind posting them. For that, she, and probably others in the IDF, need to be instructed on.
But this isn't demeaning, dehumanizing, etc. In fact, if you look at pictures the lefty media regularly takes and films of Gitmo, of prisons in Afghanistan, those pictures are considerably "worse" for dehumanization.
These are perps, and they have been filmed under detention. Everyone does this. Where it crossed the line, is when it was posted.
That was wrong.
But ... expect to hear the lefties and the terrorist backers squeal their shrill condemnation of this "war crime". Yes, jews are held to a different standard. They won't admit it, lest they have to admit their antisemitism. But its in their actions. Its the intent of their actions. Anyone claiming that this is a horrific example of abuse and a war crime is usually silent, or passing out candy when jews are killed or kidnapped by their fellow travelers. Just make sure you understand this, and ask them about this dichotomy in the most pointed manner possible. Make sure to publicize these conversations, let the world's baleful light shine down on this. Let people see what is exposed under this light, and hold them to task for their positions.
It was wrong, and it should be handled. But it is a minor infraction by a young and, my apologies to the young lady involved, naive person. The slightest things like this, give our enemies ammunition and stir up their ranks, and their fellow travelers to beat on us. Why would you wish to do this?
Don't give them any ammunition, whatsoever. Challenge their supporters rank antisemitism loudly and publicly. Hold their feet to the fire, and call them to the mat when they say and do things that reek of bias and hatred. Just stop giving them excuses to hide their bias and hatred behind.
Another case of the world whining out of control, and the IDF placating the whiners.
The IDF needs to grow a spine.
There is nothing morally wrong with publishing pictures of jihadi terrorist scumbags rounded up [no longer in a position to kill Jews in Israel]. If there are rules in the IDF against this they should be abolished. Let this photograph be a lesson to jihadis; Our Jewish women are tougher than your strongest Muslim terrorists.
